Shawn Walsh Alfond Arena renovations and additions are underway. The steel has been entirely constructed. The project is currently on schedule and budget. The project’s anticipated completion date is the fall of 2025.  The project is made possible by a transformational $320 million commitment from the Harold Alfond Foundation to UMS, which includes a $170 million investment in UMaine Athletics to fund the Athletics Facilities Master Plan as part of UMS TRANSFORMS, as well as related matching funds.
